No.GAG(A).139/205/258: The Governor of Assam is pleased to declare the Poll Day (i.e, the 15th December, 2021) as Public Holiday under Section 25 of NT. Act, 1881 (XXIV of 1881) read with the Government of India, Ministry of Home Affairs Notification No.20/25/Pub-I dated 8th June 1957 in the entire area falling under the 27 No Ambari Gaon Panchayat of Goalpara District on account of Bye-Election for the post of President for the aforesaid Gaon Panchayat, announced by Assam State Election Commission vide Notification No.SEC.27/2021/13 dated 1st November, 2021.
All the Govt./ Non Govt. Offices, all bodies and organization under the State Government including urban local bodies & PRIs, Educational Institutions, and Business Establishments including Banks, Tea Garden and Industries etc. within the jurisdiction of the above mentioned Gaon Panchayat will remain closed on account of this Public Holiday under N.I. Act.
